St Thomas Aquinas at prayer by Gentile de Fabriano (c. 1370-1427), an artist in the International Gothic style. He worked in Venice, Florence, Siena and Rome. His works include the Adoration of the Magi in the Uffizi, frescoes in the cathedral of Orvieto and Basilica of St. John the Lateran.
